Our story

Three sisters, one shared beginning

Edith, Nell & Rose began around an old workbench in Grassington, where the three of us first learnt to make jewellery under the watchful eye of our mother.

We spent long afternoons together surrounded by worn tools, sheets of paper, half-finished pieces and small trays filled with stones. Our mother taught us to slow down and pay attention—to the weight of a clasp, the texture of a surface and the way one small detail can transform an entire piece.

She also taught us that jewellery was never about status. It was about meaning: a memory held close, a gift chosen with care or something personal that quietly becomes part of who you are.

Made the way we were taught

Every design begins on paper before it reaches the old bench. From there, it is carefully shaped, filed, set and finished, with each detail considered along the way.

We still work at the same table where we first learnt our craft. It bears the marks of years of making, cups of tea and conversations that carried on long after the working day should have ended.

We keep our collection intentionally small and check every piece by hand before it leaves us. If something is not right, it does not go out. It is a promise we made to one another from the beginning and one we have never been willing to compromise.

Materials chosen with care

Sterling silver, moonstone, garnet and freshwater pearl. Nothing we would not wear ourselves, and nothing we cannot trace back to suppliers we know and trust.

We choose our materials slowly and deliberately, paying attention to their origin, natural character and how they will age over time. By working in small quantities, using only what we need and giving every important detail our full attention, we create jewellery intended to be worn often and kept for years.

A workshop woven into family life

The workshop has always been part of the household. Children and grandchildren are in and out of it throughout the week—stopping for a chat, lending a hand or offering an unexpectedly honest opinion on a new design.

There has never been a clear line between our work and family life, and perhaps that is what gives Edith, Nell & Rose its character. Each piece carries something of that everyday closeness: a quiet sense of care, continuity and the hope that it may one day be passed on.

Thoughtfully wrapped, ready to give

Every order arrives in our reusable green box, accompanied by a protective pouch and card. We use recycled and responsibly sourced materials wherever possible and avoid unnecessary packaging, choosing pieces that can be kept, reused or easily recycled.

If your order is a gift, we can also include a handwritten note in your own words, making it personal and ready to give from the moment it arrives.

Jewellery with a story to keep

We still wear our own jewellery, still ask for one another’s opinion and still believe the smallest details matter most.

Only when all three of us are happy does a design become part of the Edith, Nell & Rose collection. Because we do not want to create jewellery that is simply worn for a season. We want to make pieces that gather memories, become part of everyday life and feel more personal with every passing year.
